ARIRANG SINGERS Ojos Negros (Dark Eyes) 7 INCH 45 (Argentina) Polydor 1979

ARIRANG SINGERS Ojos Negros (Dark Eyes)/Problemas (Problems) (Argentina) Polydor 2049 533 PROMO  (1979. Licenced from Germany. Quite rare South American release by 1970s Korean disco group. It would be a worthwhile undertaking to research further into Hong Sin-yun and the others in this group as they seem to have made a significant contribution towards pioneering Korean music abroad in Europe and beyond. Members from this group  evolved into a later 1980s band called Koreana (Cathy Lee Oea-Sook, Marie Hong Hwa-Ja, Tom Lee Seung-Kyu, Jerry Lee Yong-Kyu) who released records all over the world including Australia (which I have 1 disc that I will list at a later date on this site). Their disco version of Arirang (from the album that this single was taken from) is pretty cool. It would like to know more about this group and their European connections.)
